A summa cum laude graduate from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's in Biological Science and a minor in Africana Studies. This journey led her to earn her Doctorate of Medicine at Wright State University, complete a General Surgery intern year at Morehouse School of Medicine, and finish her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The University of South Alabama. During her residency, her focus on health education, improving health literacy, and reducing health disparities deepened.

As the founder and CEO of Renee Health, she offers health coaching, health education, and captivating speaking services. Driven by the desire to empower individuals to take an active role in their health and wellness, she's committed to enhancing health literacy and guiding people to advocate for themselves.

With 20 years of experience mentoring youth and undergraduate/professional level students, Dr. Ruffin co-founded Young Debs Inc., a non-profit mentoring program in Baltimore. She is passionate about guiding future physicians and healthcare professionals and helps individuals and organizations build and implement effective mentorship programs.
