About Dr. Sheneka Horne

🌍 *About Dr. Sheneka Horne:*
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Horne holds a B.S. in Exercise Science and an M.P.H from The George Washington University. Her journey took her to St. George’s University, and she completed her pediatric residency at St Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. A Global Health fellowship with the University of California, San Francisco/HEAL program enriched her experience in the Navajo Nation and Liberia.

🚀 *Her Story:*
After encountering moral injury early in her career, Dr. Horne took a break post-fellowship to reassess her path and work on creating sustainability in her profession. This journey led to the inception of The Blk Doctor—a coaching program tailored for early career Black doctors, helping them navigate challenges and articulate their needs for a thriving and fulfilling career.

Dr. Horne's coaching program specifically addresses the unique pressures faced by Black doctors in their early careers, especially within the first 5 years. The Blk Doctor empowers them to ask for better working conditions and provides the tools to make any career path sustainable.
