About Dr. Shanika Esparaz

Dr. Esparaz completed her undergraduate education at Northwestern University. She then attended Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship in ophthalmology at Boston University Medical Center.

Dr. Esparaz encountered a pivotal moment three years ago when experiencing burnout. The catalyst for change occurred when her nanny intentionally harmed her child, revealing the need for a profound shift in priorities.

Faced with the question of purpose, she transformed her life, becoming board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine and earning her certification in health and wellness coaching.

Driven by a passion for helping women in healthcare survive and thrive, Dr. Esparaz employs evidence-based lifestyle medicine approaches.
