About Dr. Caissa Troutman

Dr. Caissa Troutman is a triple board-certified MD specializing in obesity medicine and culinary medicine. She has overcome obesity personally, transitioning from a medical director position to establish a direct-care weight wellness specialty practice.
Dr. Troutman focuses on midlife women experiencing weight gain during their menopause transition. She understands the frustration of being told to eat less and move more without seeing results and aims to provide effective, personalized care.
As the founder and passionate ambassador of WEIGHT reMDy, Dr. Troutman has a particular interest in peri-menopause/post-menopausal women’s health and brain health.
Previously, she served as the physician leader and medical director for the WellSpan Medical Weight Management Program, where she developed and implemented dual telehealth and in-office practice to increase access to evidence-based obesity care across Central PA.
Her extensive background includes roles as a primary care physician and urgent care physician in Rhode Island and Pennsylvania. Dr. Troutman completed her family medicine residency at Penn State Hershey/Good Samaritan and earned her medical degree from the University of the East in the Philippines.
Dr. Troutman holds several licensures and certifications, including Diplomate status from the American Board of Obesity Medicine and the American Board of Family Medicine.
She is also a certified culinary medicine specialist and holds certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).
