The Weight Wasn’t the Problem

Most women come to me saying they want to lose weight.
But when we sit down and talk, I hear something else.

These are executive women.
Leaders.
Moms.
Partners.
The women who keep everything running.

They’ve built careers.
Led teams.
Balanced businesses, school pickups, aging parents, and everything in between.

They’ve figured out how to show up for everyone else.
Except when it comes to their own body.
Their own health and peace.

And that hurts.

It hurts to feel like a stranger in your body.
To eat clean, work out, follow all the rules.

And still watch the scale climb.

It hurts to ask for help and be told it’s just stress.
Just your age. Just try harder.

One of my clients told me,

“My joints hurt. I had horrible hot flashes. I felt hungry all the time, and no matter how much I exercised, I could not lose the weight. I was starting to feel depressed about the way I looked and felt.”

She had tried everything.
Her primary care doctor told her to eat less and cut carbs.

No plan. No context. No compassion.

She felt ignored and dismissed.
And worst of all.

She felt like maybe this was just her new normal.

But deep down, she knew something was off.
That this wasn’t just aging.

When we finally met, she said,
“I just want to feel like me again.”

So we made a plan.

We looked at her symptoms.
We talked about her sleep.
Her stress.
Her schedule.
Her hormones.

And yes.

We included a medication called a GLP-1.
Not as a shortcut.
But as a reset.

Something to help her feel full again.
To quiet the constant cravings.
To reduce the inflammation that made her joints ache.

A few months later, she sent me this:

“My joints don’t hurt. I’ve lost 20 pounds. My hot flashes are gone. I feel energized. Honestly, I’d keep taking this just for relief. The weight loss is the cherry on top.”

That’s what people miss.
This isn’t just about losing pounds.
It’s about lifting the weight of feeling out of control in your own body.

Because often, the weight is not the cause.
It’s a symptom.

The symptom of a nervous system stuck in survival.
Of hormones shifting without warning.
Of years of caring for everyone but yourself.

That’s what we work on.
We get under the surface.
We use the right tools.
We build a strategy that works in real life.

And when we do that.


The body responds.
The cravings settle.
Sleep returns.
The energy comes back.
And the weight starts to drop off.
