Are you menopausal?
Jul 27, 2025
Over the last few weeks, I’ve had the same conversation over and over.
Different cities.
Different women.
Different stages of life.
But the same story.
“I’m gaining weight, and I haven’t changed anything.”
“My doctor says I’m fine… but I don’t feel fine.”
“I wake up sweating in the middle of the night.”
“My brain is foggy.”
“I’m exhausted.”
Listen.
This isn’t medical advice.
But I need to say this:
You’re not too young.
You’re not imagining it.
And your doctor may not even understand what’s happening.
But you might be perimenopausal.
And if you’re sitting there thinking:
“But I’m only 39.”
“I still get my period.”
“My mom never mentioned this.”
“This can’t be menopause... right?”
Yeah. I hear that a lot.
Your mother didn’t talk about it.
Because hers didn’t either.
Because most women didn’t have the language.
Or the space to to say what was really going on.
But I’m telling you now, because someone needs to.
Perimenopause doesn’t wait for your 50th birthday.
It doesn’t wait for your period to stop.
It starts earlier.
It moves quietly.
And it makes you feel like something is off.
But you can’t explain what.
So if you do one thing this week?
Find a doctor who listens to you.
Not one who tells you your symptoms are “just stress.”
Not one who shrugs off your weight gain, sleep issues, or mood swings.
Not one who says “welcome to your 40s” like it’s a punchline.
You deserve better than that.
You deserve someone who hears your full story.
Someone who helps you connect the dots.
Someone who says, “I believe you.”
Because for many women?
This isn’t just stress.
It’s not just burnout.
It’s not just aging.
It’s perimenopause.
And if you haven’t found someone who gets it yet?
Hit reply.
I’m here. I see you.
Rooting for you,
