How to Break Free From Burnout (When Nothing Is Working)

Sep 08, 2024

Happy Sunday,

Ever felt like no matter what you do, nothing changes?

You’ve tried to manage the stress, tweak the workload, or just make it through another day...but deep down, it feels like you’re stuck on a hamster wheel, and the finish line keeps moving further away.

Burnout doesn’t just drain your energy.

It drains your joy, your hope, your belief that things can get better.

It leaves you questioning everything.

But here’s the thing—

I see you. I’ve been there.

And I know the exact thoughts running through your mind right now:

  • "Will this ever end?"
  • "Why do I feel so stuck?"
  • "Am I the only one feeling this way?"
  • "What happened to the woman I used to be?"
  • "Is this really what the rest of my life looks like?"

These questions—while painful—are a sign.

Many of us go through periods of feeling completely disillusioned.

Especially in our work and personal lives.

You start with big dreams, endless energy, and the will to succeed, but somewhere along the way, reality hits hard:

  • The job that once excited you has turned into a routine that drains you.
  • The responsibilities that felt empowering now weigh heavy.
  • And despite your best efforts, change seems...impossible.

But here’s the truth no one tells you.

It is possible to break free.

Even when it feels like you’re stuck.

Let’s start by calling out the illusion.

When we hit these low points, our brains convince us that we’ve tried everything, that our situation is permanent.

But in reality, what’s often holding us back isn’t the circumstances but the mindset we carry around those circumstances.

We get so used to our own narratives, our own sense of being “trapped,” that we forget to challenge them.

But what if there’s another way?

You are not powerless.

Your situation can change, even if it feels impossible right now.

It’s time to stop waiting for external changes and start taking control of what you can change.

Here are three steps to help you take charge and break free.

1.Recognize what is working,

It’s easy to focus on everything that’s wrong when you’re feeling stuck.

But I encourage you to look at what’s right instead.

What parts of your life are still bringing you joy?

Even if it’s just 10 minutes of reading a book or a brief conversation with a loved one—acknowledge it.

This is the foundation for rebuilding your energy.

2. Get clear on what you want.

When was the last time you asked yourself: What do I actually want?

Not just what others expect of you, not what your role or your routine demands—but what you desire in your life.

Take the time to write down what your ideal day looks like.

What would change?

Who would you spend time with?

What would bring you energy rather than drain it?

3. Make One Small Shift

It can feel overwhelming to imagine changing your entire situation.

You don’t have to tackle everything at once.

Focus on one small shift that can start moving you in the right direction.

Maybe it’s as simple as setting boundaries around your time.

Maybe it’s asking for help.

Or maybe it’s committing to 15 minutes of self-care a day.

Small steps build momentum, and momentum leads to change.

For a group women, it was a 10 Day Morning Routine.

You might feel stuck now, but the reality is, you have the power to transform your life—step by step, day by day.

The first step is shifting your mindset from “I can’t change this” to “I can change something.”

And when you start there, the rest begins to fall into place.

At the end of the day, you deserve more than just surviving.

Things can get better.

And you’ll get back to being the woman who thrives—not just survives.

Is it easy? No.

Possible? Yes.

Because you deserve that and so much more.

I’m here to help you find your way out.

Together, we’ll break the cycle.
