Self-care isn't just for employees; it's for the benefit of your entire company, despite a common misconception. Self-care isn't just a buzzword – it's the key to creating a fantastic company culture. Here's a step-by-step guide for leaders to make it a priority and 10X the culture at your organization.

Lead by example: If you want your team to prioritize self-care, ensure you do it yourself. Show them that it's not only essential but also achievable. Need to leave work early to visit the doctor? Do that. Or clocking out because your kid has a game? Be honest.

Encourage breaks: It's essential to take breaks and step away from work, especially during high stress. Encourage your team to take breaks and disconnect, whether for a few minutes or days. It's ok for leaders to spend time with their families and go on vacation. Work will be there when you get back.

Promote work-life balance: A healthy work-life balance is essential for overall well-being. Encourage your team to find a balance that works for them, and ensure you're modeling it yourself.

Offer resources: Make sure your team has access to resources that support self-care, such as employee assistance programs or stress management resources. Don’t just say access them. Actively promote it in meetings and 1 on 1s.

Make self-care a part of your company culture: By making self-care a priority and actively promoting it within your organization, you can create a culture that prioritizes the well-being of your team.

By prioritizing self-care and making it a crucial part of your company culture, you can create even more fantastic energy on your team. Not to mention, you'll set an excellent example for your employees and foster a culture of well-being within your organization. So, put your oxygen mask on first – your team (and your stress levels) will thank you.

How will you be leaning into self-care this week?

Always wishing you the best,
