Holiday Season Employee Selfcare

Hey Leaders,

As the holiday season unfolds, I want to extend warm wishes to you and your teams. 

It's a time of reflection, gratitude, and, for some, a time of struggle. 

However, take a moment on your team's journey this year.

Celebrate victories, acknowledge challenges, and express gratitude for everything.

It's also important to recognize that this season might be challenging for some.

It might be the first holiday without a loved one.

This might bring back painful memories.

Support those struggling.

Share mental health resources and be there for them. 

But support them in a way that respects their boundaries.

Also, appreciate those on your team working through the holiday season. 

Send a heartfelt message expressing gratitude for their commitment. 

Reach out personally. 

A brief check-in can make a significant impact, showing that their well-being matters.

Let them know their efforts are seen and valued.

Finally, encourage your team to embrace their time off fully.

As a leader, you can model this healthy habit.

Disconnect from work emails, take a break from notifications, and enjoy the moment.

Step outside of the work and do something that brings you joy.

Whatever that looks like for you.

It might be sitting with a book.

It could be spending time with family.

But it should be something non-work related.

A genuine break allows for rest and can help reduce burnout.

Remember, your leadership sets the tone for a supportive and compassionate workplace.
